WELCOME

to the

HILLTOP HAYBURNERS 4-H CLUB

The Hilltop Hayburners 4-H club has been in existence for over 30 years and originated in the Redmond area. Our current club membership includes children between the ages of 8-19 who reside in Redmond, Issaquah, Renton, Sammamish, Fall City and Carnation. We are primarily a horse club and are one of the most active memberships of the Snohomish County 4-H Horse Program. Our members are involved in many horse-related disciplines including western and english performance, dressage, over fences, and western games. We are active with trail riding and offer monthly trailrides to different locations all leading up to a 4 day overnight campout with horses. We also have our own club's mounted drill team which has been in existence since 2001 and participates in several parades and has performed at the Evergreen State Fair and Ellensburg Rodeo Posse Night Show. We offer many opportunities for members to learn useful lifeskills in a safe environment with a relaxed, non-threatening and fun atmosphere.

Our club prides itself on the commitment and leadership of its members and parents. It is extremely difficult for one individual to successfully coordinate activities, attend all required 4-H activities, and most importantly offer a diverse and exciting selection of horse activities to our members; Therefore, it is essential that our members and parents partnership together to ensure each 4-H member’s experience is a positive one.

4-H Teaches the Simple Truths:

That values are taught

through disciplined pursuit of a goal.

And you don't give kids confidence

and self-esteem,

But rather you show them how to earn it!
